Ranking: Nicolas Cage's Straight-To-Video Movies From Worst To Best

4. Rage (2014)

Though not nearly as terrible as its reviews suggest, Rage is nevertheless mostly what you'd expect from a Nicolas Cage movie foregoing a theatrical release.

This is basically your typical kidnapped daughter thriller, though there's not much action to speak of, and the little that's there is hampered by too much shaky cam and poor editing.

On the other hand, though, there are some truly hilarious moments: Nicolas Cage's wife being played by the beautiful Rachel Nichols despite the pair having zero chemistry, Cage interrogating a corpse, and the infamous scene in which he repeatedly screams "rat!" at a perp he's confronting.

Cage is clearly having fun, which matters most, and the supporting cast (including Peter Stormare and Danny Glover) are imminently watchable as usual. It's not a good movie, but at least it's relatively entertaining.
