Ranking October 2015's Movies From Worst To Best

1. Room

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 95% (8.4/10) Box Office: Even with its evident (but unannounced) low budget, Room has made just $766,702 at the limited box office, but it's absolutely the sort of movie that will thrive on home video platforms, especially with all the impending Oscar buzz. The Verdict: Lenny Abrahamson (What Richard Did, Frank) serves up his best work to date with this thrilling adaptation of Emma Donoghue's acclaimed novel about a woman and her son who are imprisoned in a room by a mysterious man. If the direction and script are stellar, the real reason the movie works are leads Brie Larson and young Jacob Tremblay, who forge a totally believable bond as mother and son in the most dire of circumstances. It's far from pleasant, but sure to end up in the awards conversation across the board, even if it sadly might be too "small" to actually win the big one. Which films did you love this October? What did you hate? Shout them out in the comments!
