Ranking October 2015's Movies From Worst To Best

14. Our Brand Is Crisis

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 33% (5.4/10) Box Office: The $28 million movie was a box office bust in its first week of release, and like many films already mentioned, grossed less than half of its projected take, scoring just $3.3 million. That makes it Sandra Bullock's lowest opening box office to date. The Verdict: Widely touted as a sure-fire Oscar contender prior to its TIFF premiere, this dramatisation of the iconic 2005 documentary of the same name is a wildly unnecessary drama which again re-affirms director David Gordon Green's infuriating inconsistency. Most of the measured praise went to Bullock and her impressive chemistry with Billy Bob Thornton, but much ire was aimed at the lack of finesse to the political satire, and a deeply disappointing, pat conclusion. Whether after awards or box office bucks, it looks like everyone will be going home empty-handed after this one...
