Rank On List: 10th Place Mark Wahlberg is the 10th highest-paid actor in the world. Let that fact set in for a second. How is it that this guy has earned more than, say, Leonardo DiCaprio? Yes, you have to take into account his recent films, Transformers: Age of Extinction and Ted 2, both of which were designed to be huge box office hitters, but still... actual Mark Wahlberg? Despite a promising career start, Mark Wahlberg seems to have entered the realms of parody with increasing force over the span of recent years: you can't really take him all that seriously as an actor anymore, because how can you take anyone who spends most of their screen-time talking to CGI robots and animals seriously? Then there's the other side of Wahlberg's contemporary career, which usually sees him playing the same kind of brash, well-built blue collar hero. He's not much of an actor, all things considered, but he can still sell a movie if needs be. Still, $32 million seems excessive.
