Not all horror movies have to be ugly and unforgiving; some of them can be oddly beautiful.

Case in point, Tomas Alfredson's romantic coming-of-age horror about a bullied pre-teen (Kåre Hedebrant) who befriends a girl (Linda Leandersson) with a deadly secret.

A gorgeously filmed and wonderfully unconventional vampire movie, Let the Right One In is shocking, violent and unsettling when it needs to be, but balances its disturbing tone with a genuinely affecting tale of love that ends with a haunting thud.

I get to write about what I love, which is cool. You'll typically find me in front of a TV, or hunkered down behind a book, or dreaming of things far away. Be good to each other. Find my other writings here: https://allthethingsineversaid.substack.com/
