Ready Player One: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best

5. The Curator

Ready Player One Curator
Warner Bros.

The keeper of the Halliday archives within the OASIS - a virtual databank containing all of his memories - the Curator comes only into occasional but key contact with Parzival as the movie progresses.

It's not quite clear who's voicing him (and we won't spoil here), but the character is one of the movie's outright funniest, with a stereotypical British butler body given an extremely sarcastic and dry-witted sheen.

He works brilliantly with Parzival, often one-upping him and ensuring the young hero can't get too cocky, which leads to some excellent payoff later on.

NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far. A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
