2. Ian Finch - Special Correspondents

I know it’s really tempting to watch the Netflix Original films just because they’re there, but for the love of God do not watch Special Correspondents. It may not star Adam Sandler, but that's not enough to endorse it; another Gervais “acting-directing” joint, it’s a painful movie short on logic and even lighter on character.

Gervais puts himself as a sadsack nerd who... gasp... likes comic books and its despised in his job as a radio station technician. Eric Bana’s hot shot reporter finds him irritating, and the audience feels pretty much the same, with the character alternating from idiocy to exasperation as if that’s all Gervais can do.

At the least the character goes through some painful moments, so there's an ultimate sense of catharsis.
