An evil spirit, Pitch (Jude Law), has plans to take over the world. Santa Claus (Alec Baldwin), the Easter Bunny (Hugh Jackman), the Tooth Fairy (Isla Fisher) and Jack Frost (Chris Pine), who's ultimate job is to protect the children of the world, must join forces to prevent Pitch from realizing his evil plans. Rise of the Guardians is based on William Joyce's The Guardians of Childhood series: Nicholas St. North and the Battle of the Nightmare King (2011) and E. Aster Bunnymund and the Warrior Eggs at the Earth's Core! (2012). Not only did Joyce write the novels, but he also wrote the script, which means fans of the novels should be pleased with the movie adaptation. The film is scheduled to open November 21, 2012.
