Robert Downey Jr. And Tom Holland In Back To The Future Will Melt Your Brain

The Back To The Future remake you didn't know you needed...

It appears that Iron Man and Spider-Man have gone back a little too far in time with their new time machine and ended up stranded in the 1950s.

A Back to the Future/MCU deep fake has been going around on twitter, with Tom Holland taking the place of Michael J. Fox's Marty McFly and Robert Downey Jr. as Christopher Lloyd's Emmett "Doc" Brown.

The Spider-Man: Homecoming stars eerily fill the roles of the '80s classic's lead characters in the deep fake. After all, Holland's Peter Parker, like Marty, is a high school student who gets roped into a sci-fi adventure, and Downey's Tony Stark, like Doc, is his genius scientist friend.

Back to the Future is one of those movies that is so beloved that a remake should never, EVER be considered. That said, knowing Hollywood, there could be whispers about one as we speak.

If a Back to the Future remake HAD to happen, which again, it absolutely should NOT, Holland and Downey would be serviceable choices to play Marty and Doc. The pair have appeared in 5 films together, and have undeniable chemistry. If the film were remade today, the pair would go back to the 1990s, just as '90s nostalgia is kicking in.

The Back to the Future remake will hopefully never see the light of day, especially if original director Robert Zemeckis has anything to say about it. But if some fans still want one, the deepfake of Holland and Downey should be able to hold them over.
