8. Owning Your Tail
As I said, the people who put together this censored cut had no obvious problem with the violence but instead focused on the swearing. However, some key scenes where heavily edited and Murphy's death is one of them. We don't see his arm get blown off, the amount of time he is shot is shortened significantly and Clarence's bullet to Murphy's head is completely cut out. But some of the biggest changes is the toned down script. When Emil shoves a gun in Murphy's face and tells him:
''Your a** is mine.''
The word a** was replaced with tail. So Murphy's tail belongs to Emil but Clarence tells him that he doesnt own it yet. And in a great example of understatement, after Clarence hits Murphy on the back of the legs and taunts him about the fate of his partner, he originally wagered:
''I bet that really pi**es you off.''
