Earlier this month we reported the shock news that legendary director
George A. Romero had been hospitalized after suffering a fall, meaning production on his next zombie movie
Diary of the Dead had to be pushed back. Well that doesn't seem to be the case as
Arrow in the Head reported a few days ago that filming is now underway in Toronto and today we have first official news of the movie's first casting.
Shawn Roberts who also appeared in Romero's last zombie outing
Land of the Dead and most recently in
Man of the Year has been cast as one of the leads. This has to be good news then, if they are shooting it means Romero's health must be ok and not as bad as some reports feared a couple of weeks ago. source -
