The first image of Falcon's Captain America suit from Falcon and Winter Soldier has been revealed.

Marvel fans may currently be pouring over the first two episodes of WandaVision, but it won't be long at all until the next MCU series arrives on Disney+.

The Falcon & The Winter Soldier was originally meant to debut first but suffered pandemic related disruption in 2020, meaning it'll now release this March. The series focuses on Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) as they navigate the legacy of Captain America, with Sam being left the mantle by Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) at the end of Avengers: Endgame.

The series has so far kept things pretty close to the chest in regards to Sam stepping up and taking over the Captain America mantle, with no word on whether or not he would be getting his own version of the star spangled costume. Fans no longer have to imagine what the suit may look like however, as it's been leaked in a photo of an upcoming toy releasing along with the series later this year.

Needless to say, if you don't want to know what the new Captain America costume looks like and want it to be a surprise when you watch the series, you should look away now.

That... looks like a Captain America costume alright.

The suit itself looks pretty much like it was ripped straight from the comics. If the toy is accurate, then this could actually be the most faithful MCU costume design yet, as it looks like a mirror image of the suit Sam wore when he became Captain America in the comics.

It's obviously not the big reveal Disney and Marvel would've wanted, but this is sure to increase anticipation for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier series before it drops on Disney+ March 19.

1. Which Character Debuted In The Comics First?

Content Producer/Presenter

WhatCulture's very own resident movie guy, Ewan has been working in the content creation biz for over 10 years now, having started as a freelance contributor to WhatCulture Gaming all the way back in 2015. After graduating with a First-Class Honours in History from Northumbria University in 2017 (where he won a prize for a totally killer dissertation on the Watergate years), Ewan took on the role of Comics Editor at WhatCulture and quickly developed WhatCulture Comics into one of the biggest superhero-focused channels on YouTube. He followed this with a brief hiatus at Screen Rant in 2021, where he worked across the Gaming and Film sections as a writer and editor, before returning to WhatCulture as a Senior Content Producer / Presenter in 2023. He started his own podcast, We Love Dad Movies, in 2022, and has contributed several written pieces to the Eisner-nominated comics website Shelfdust as well. In his current role, Ewan incorporates his love of cinema, comic books, and history into written pieces and video essays for WhatCulture's Film & TV channel, as well as WhatCulture Gaming and WhatCulture Horror, with a particular focus on nineties-era Dad Movies, old school Westerns, and Golden Age Hollywood Noir. John Carpenter is his fave, and he thinks Batman Beyond should never have been cancelled. If that's your vibe, you'll probably like his stuff.
