Production has now officially wrapped on Lionsgate's annual money making venture
Saw IV. For those of you still interested in the franchise,
Bloody Disgusting are reporting that their
sources tell them that
Shawnee Smith who has played Amanda in all three Saw movies will be in the new film. However she will appear using footage from the previous three films which has been cobelled together to form a flashback, as she died at the end of
Saw III. The site are also reporting that
Tobin Bell (Jigsaw) who also died at the end of Saw III will make a physical appearance in the film and not just in the form of video footage he recorded whilst he was still alive. Don't ask me how the hell that will work but logic and the Saw franchise don't really belong in the same sentence. Saw IV opens on October 26th, again directed by
Darren Lynn Bousman.
