Scream: Every Killer Ranked From Worst To Best

2. Jill Roberts (Scream 4)

Scream 2 Mickey

Jill was the first Ghostface killer to be a young woman, and also touted one of the most uproariously entertaining - not to mention timely - motives in the series.

Jill is obsessed with fame and has orchestrated the latest spate of killings to position herself as "the new Sidney," her ultimate goal being to kill and replace her cousin as an iconic survivor.

Kevin Williamson's finely-tuned script offers an ahead-of-its-time commentary on social media clout-chasing, but what pushes Jill over the top is her commitment to the bit.

Beyond killing off her own accomplice, Charlie, once he's served his purpose, Jill goes the full crazy hog of committing brutal self-harm to better sell herself as a Ghostface "victim."

Emma Roberts gives a fantastic performance in the role, especially once the mask is off, and over a decade later her character's entire arc has aged better than anyone could've surely expected.
