21. Reddit Thinks Sam Is Ghostface
We reconvene with Sam (Melissa Barrera) during a session with her therapist, Dr. Stone (Henry Czerny), where it's revealed that there's a popular online conspiracy theory that Sam was actually the real killer from the previous movie, and that she framed Richie and Amber (Mikey Madison) to take the fall.
It's implied that the theory started on Reddit, and throughout the film we see that even random members of the general public who come across Sam treat her with total hostility and suspicion, believing her to be the real killer.
Of course as we later find out, this wasn't merely a case of Reddit detectives being wrong - it was a conspiracy orchestrated by one of the movie's killers.
