Secret Birds Of Prey Teaser Leaks Online - And It's GENIUS!
Cinema-only teaser uses Pennywise to advertise Harley Quinn's return.
Just in the past couple of days, it was announced that there would be a special teaser for Birds Of Prey shown on the front of It 2 when it lands in cinemas. We were told the short trailer wouldn't be available online and that there's a good reason for that - and now we know why.
The teaser has been leaked - somewhat unsurprisingly - and shows Harley Quinn batting Pennywise's red balloons away after the creepy It theme music plays and saying she's "so f*cking over clowns."
Honestly, it's about the most genius bit of marketing Warner Bros have done since the first Suicide Squad trailers sold entirely the wrong movie and it's a shame they aren't releasing it wide on the Internet. Yet, anyway.
But somehow, someone's uploaded it to Twitter:
Talk about inspired marketing.
The footage in there looks great too and the choice of Heads Will Roll as the musical track is equally brilliant. If it wasn't for that clunky title, this would be pretty much perfect.
