Steven Soderberghs new movie in which Law stars alongside a litany of big name stars including Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, Marion Cotillard and way more than I could hope to mention in one article.
In the 'Outbreak' esque global disaster film, Law is said to be part of a CDC resistance against a pandemic that has devastated much of the world. The film has shot in a dozen or so cities across the world including Geneva, Atlanta, Chicago, Hong Kong, London, Morocco but has most recently been based and shot in San Francisco where the streets are left empty aside from mounds of infected clothing awaiting burning. The films screenwriter is Scott Z Burns (The Informant) and its prestigious cast must surely be an indication of Soderberghs desire to claw back a mainstream audience to which he has had an ambivalent attitude since he released Ocean's Thirteen nearly four years ago. Burns contribution suggests an action packed fast-paced narrative and, if the pictures are anything to go by, Soderbergh has crafted the appropriate backdrops.
