SETH & JAY VS. THE APOCALYPSE

Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel will play two friends who have to deal with the end of the world. And they are keeping their original names too. Nice. It's called Seth & Jay vs. The Apocalypse and it's based on a comedy short written by Rogen and his fellow Superbad scribe Evan Goldberg which they are fleshing out for a full length feature. The comedy is setup at Mandate Pictures after a multiple studio bidding war and will shoot next year according to Variety. Surprisingly the third man in the picture, Judd Apatow is not said to be involved in this feature at all. Last year, a fake trailer (which was evidently deemed to be this short) played across the web and got people excited and confused over just exactly what it was.

I guess we still don't really know what it was. A testing ground for an idea they had for a movie, a way to get the word out? Who knows.

The short is funny though but are Rogen and Baruchel actually playing themselves or are they just using their first names only like some of the cast did in Knocked Up?

So it's a feature length movie about two guys getting pissed off and irritated with each other as the world is ending outside? Funny for 1 minute and a half yes, but you have to be a good writer to keep us interested for 90+ minutes or so.
