3. Cal - The 40 Year-Old Virgin

Seth-in-The-40-Year-Old-Virgin

The 40-Year-Old Virgin was the biggest sleeper hit of 2005 and it introduced to the film world the one... Seth Rogen, who up until 2005 had been mostly a TV actor with the very odd and very small supporting big screen roles.

Here, Seth plays Cal, a co-worker of Steve Carrel's title character at an electronics store. The best thing about Seth€™s character was the equal mix of normalcy and insanity. One minute, he would be boosting the self-esteem of Steve Carell€™s character; the next, he€™d be talking about imagining women as plants...and then f**king the plants. He thinks waxing is a bit too much for men, and yet, talks about going to donkey shows. It's an intriguing mix and the ways Seth performs in this movie, you believe it all. He€™s intense, he€™s funny and he steals every scene that he€™s in.
