Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Will Reiser & Jonathan Levine Take Trip To JAMAICA

Reuniting the creative team behind cancer comedy 50/50 - the film will be based on a road trip a 14 year old Will Reiser took with his grandmother through Jamaica.

Mandate Pictures bring news that the makers of the long delayed cancer comedy 50/50 will be teaming up once more to bring their unique mixture of humour and heartbreak to the road trip comedy Jamaica. The reuniting crew will each take on the same job roles as with 50/50 - so The Wackness director Jonathan Levine will take the chair again, Will Reiser writes, with Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg (writers of Superbad and Pineapple Express) as producers. It€™s yet unknown whether Rogen will star but the plot alone seems packed with enough hilarity to keep viewers interested. The film is based on a road trip a 14 year old Will Reiser took with his grandmother through Jamaica. Need I say more? (well to be honest there are no more details just yet, so I can't). Screenwriter Reiser seems gifted at taking life experience and poking fun at it whilst at the same time drawing true emotion from the situation. His debut 50/50 is borderline autobiographical, as Reiser was diagnosed with cancer in his late 20€™s and survived to tell the tale. Jamaica€™s premise may be more light-hearted but I€™m sure the child/grandmother relationship will have even the coolest critic in tears. A trailer for 50/50 did the rounds online in late May and the film can be found in American cinemas on September 30th, whilst us patient Brits will have to wait till the 18th November. 50/50 was filmed over a year ago now and I€™d been waiting on that hopeful trailer for what felt like a decade, let€™s hope Jamaica is to the same standard that early 50/50 reports are and isn€™t as delayed.
