Silver & Black: 10 New Leaked Plot Details You Need To Know
The plot of the movie has leaked online, and it sounds surprisingly awesome!
The Old Guard director Gina Prince-Bythewood was once attached to take the helm of Silver & Black for Sony Pictures, a Venom-style Spider-Man spinoff movie revolving around Silver Sable and Black Cat. Both characters are best known for their adventures with the wall-crawler, though they've also had their fair share of solo adventures, and seeing them team-up would have been a lot of fun.
Despite Prince-Bythewood having come up with costumes, sets, and even a list of actresses suitable for the roles of Silver Sablinova and Felicia Hardy, Sony decided to split the film into two solo outings, though there's been no recent updates on those, and it's beginning to feel like they've been lost in the shuffle.
After all, the SPUMC (Sony Pictures' Universe of Marvel Characters) has Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Morbius on the way in 2021, while a recent deal with Marvel Studios meaning Spider-Man can start appearing in these MCU-adjacent spinoffs. That likely means these heroes have been put on the back-burner, but on the plus side, much of the movie's plot has now leaked online!
Between the involvement of Spider-Man characters like Norman Osborn and the Scorpion to what led to Silver Sable and Black Cat teaming up in the first place, it's fair to say fans missed a treat with this one...
10. Silver Sable And Black Cat's Origin Stories
Much of the movie is said to have revolved around Silver Sable, a character who is revealed to be a bounty hunter/mercenary working for the U.S. Department of Justice. In the comic books, she serves her home nation of Symkaria, and while this version was set to also hail from that fictional comic book nation, it seems likely this version moved to the States and put her unique skills to use there instead.
That would certainly simplify things, especially as it the DOJ tasks Sable with bringing Felicia Hardy in (after all, it wouldn't make much sense for Symkaria to want to get their hands on the Black Cat).
Talking of the one-time Spider-Man love interest, this Black Cat had volunteered to undergo an experimental surgery at the hands of Dr. Mendel Stromm (using his comic book alias Gaunt) which would have seen A.I. tech installed in her body to give the master thief powers enhancing her skill set.
However, it doesn't sound like she was set to have her comic book counterpart's bad luck powers given how far-fetched that would be in a live-action project like this one.
