9. Silver Sable's Secret Plan
Gaunt's plan was to add Black Cat to his crew of superpowered baddies, but she escaped and fled to South America. That confirms the location of Silver & Black, and moves the action far enough away from New York City and San Francisco to avoid addressing the existence of Spider-Man or Venom.
As for Sable, she's said to have had her own motivations for wanting to capture Felicia outside of what her bosses at the DOJ want; Gaunt was responsible for the death of her father, Ernst Sablinova, not to mention the torture and death of many of her fellow Symkarians. Knowing that the villain was also tracking Felicia, her hope was that Black Cat would lead her to finally being able to get her revenge.
That's a strong premise for the movie, though it seems fair to say that some fans wouldn't have been overly happy with Black Cat playing second fiddle to the arguably less popular Silver Sable.
