The big question for many fans with a project like this is how much it would have referenced Spider-Man. While the Morbius trailer made it clear that movie will be full of nods to the web-slinger's MCU adventures (including "Wanted" posters and a cameo from Michael Keaton's Adrian Toomes), Venom had none, so this draft of Silver & Black was also lacking on Spidey-themed Easter Eggs.

Seeing as Silver & Black was set to be released last February, it's no great surprise that there were no plans for the spinoff to set the stage for Spider-Man: Far From Home, though it would be a little surprising if some government agent hadn't at least mentioned what had happened in Venom.

Regardless, just because Spider-Man was nowhere to be seen, that doesn't mean characters from his world were M.I.A. Heading to the Tri-Border region of South America (known as an epicentre for organised crime) alongside Dominic Fortune, Sable was set to reach out to an old contact of hers: Dimitri Smerdyakov, a character better known to comic book fans as the villainous Chameleon...
