So the director of OLDBOY has made a vampire film. And it looks great...

Following on from one of the best movies of last year and probably the greatest vampire movie of all time with LET THE RIGHT ONE IN, and of course one of the most hyped vamp flicks ever with TWILIGHT, you might think we don't need anymore flicks in the blood sucking genre right now. Or if your like me, your absolutely desperate to see more, hoping the new exposure to the genre will bring out some truly great and original stories. Like we hope this one to be... thirst3 It's titled THIRST and comes from Chan-wook Park whose every movie is going to come under scrutiny whether it's in a popular genre or not these days as he was the guy who gave us the immense experience that was the VENGEANCE trilogy. So a vampire movie from the director of OLDBOY and starring THE HOST actor Kang-ho Song. I must have your attention now, right? First Showing have the trailer for the movie which sadly has no subtitles but from the images, you kinda get the idea...

According to the guys at Youtube, the captions read...
'You shall not murder.' 'You shall not commit adultery.' 'You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.' 'Bloodlust disturbs his soul.' last line : Vampires aren't immortal. Do you still want my blood?
The movie will open in April in Korea and Focus Features have the U.S. distribution rights, so if it gets good word of mouth we could see it hit theatres at the end of the year.
