Just a quick bit of news that I know you've all been waiting with baited breath for. Sony have just announced a September 12th, 2012 release date for the next and fifth installment of Paul W.S. Anderson's number 1 franchise, Resident Evil, which was always an inevitably given the worldwide tally for last summer's Resident Evil: Afterlife coming in at just shy of $300 million. Keeping the series tradition of a release at the tail end of the summer big boy blowout will be the currently untitled fifth film, which Milla Jovovich has promised she will lead and her husband Paul W.S. Anderson could direct (they are currently working on the 3D Three Musketeers movie together). However, the intriguing aspect of a new film is what piece of technical wizardry they will use to try and sell this one. This image taken from the last movie's trailer; Films sold to the audience on the hardware they were made with. Hmmm, Unorthodox.
