Sony Release New The Amazing Spider-Man Images

The Amazing Spider-Man swings into theaters July 3, 2012 in 3D.

Sony Pictures have updated the official website for The Amazing Spider-Man with a bunch of new images from the July released web-slinging blockbuster reboot. The first image is above and features the lovely Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) flirting with Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) in the halls of their high school. If you look at the image closely (we have a bigger version below) it raises a few eyebrows as it's either heavily manipulated with photoshop or that particular high school needs better lighting because it ain't half dark during the day there otherwise. Next, meet Peter's parents Richard Parker (Campbell Scott) and Mary Parker (Embeth Davidtz), the significance of who we previously heard have a bigger part to play in this new film than before (where their backstory and the tragedy of their loss was left to our imagination) and perhaps beyond if it goes to a trilogy; And now Aunt May (Sally Field) and Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen) who don't look as cheerful as Parker's parents do! Meanwhile, Spidey fans who were lucky enough to grab tickets to Sony's special The Amazing Spider-Man preview screenings on Monday dubbed 'The Untold Story Begins', which we think will be screenings of an opening prologue (i.e. what Warner Bros did with The Dark Knight Rises where 8 minutes of the opening were screened worldwide) but can't say for sure, are now just a few days away from receiving their special webbed treat.
