Spectre: 23 Easter Eggs & References You Need To See

13. The Hildebrand Rarity

At the end of the film when M, Q and Moneypenny are on the run, they head to a safe house to team up with Bond. The name on the door they enter for the super secret safe house is Hildebrand, which is a nice, obscure reference to one of Bond's less glamorous literary outings. In Ian Fleming's For Your Eyes Only, there's a short story called The Hildebrand Rarity that finds Bond on a mission to find a fish. Literally. There's also a name drop in the Rome funeral sequence for line producer Roberto Malerba, who can't have been too impressed with being creatively killed off, and the film's Italian accountant Daniela Macrillo is also named on one of the graves. So you have to suspect all of the names there are subtle nods to minor crew members.
