Spider-Man: Every Movie Villain Ranked Worst To Best

1. The Green Goblin (Spider-Man)

It would have to take a lot to beat Doc Ock to the top spot here, but I'm sure few reading this will be upset with the fact that The Green Goblin has taken the crown.

Played with twisted glee by the irreplaceable Willem Dafoe, Norman Osborn represents the best of Spider-Man's rogue’s gallery, flawlessly portrayed as a brilliant man with a deadly split personality that causes him to constantly be at war with himself, whilst trying to break Spider-Man once and for all.

In both Spider-Man and No Way Home, The Green Goblin has been violent, terrifying and heartbreaking, even when his original suit made him look like an extra in an old episode of Power Rangers.

None of this would have been possible without Dafoe, of course, who plays both sides of Osborn's fractured psyche with complete uncaged commitment. He was the first of Spider-Man's big screen adversaries, and as it stands he's still the best.
