Spider-Man: Far From Home - 8 Fan Demands That Must Happen

5. A Reimagining Of Mysterio

Out of all the changes the MCU has made to the comics, the decision to reimagine the Vulture as a victim of corporate greed - with his own family to provide for and struggles to deal with - was by far one of its best. Given the success of the move, it's easy to see why fans find the prospect of Mysterio also being reimagined particularly exciting.

We've known for a while now that Jake Gyllenhaal will play the villain, who goes by the name of Quentin Beck in the comics, and with Peter apparently being introduced to a figure with "elevated ideas" in the film, it's possible that Watts et al. have chosen to depict Mysterio less as a bumbling, resentful special effects artist, and perhaps as a genuine revolutionary in his chosen profession.

Images of Mysterio on set have shown the character without the fishbowl, so the film's already off to a good start there, but it remains to be seen if they change any of Beck's other characteristics. There's also the matter of Fury's interest to consider too, and though it's easy to see why Chameleon (portrayed by Numan Acar in the upcoming film) would alert him and Hill, it remains to be seen just how this new Mysterio will factor into the story.
