Spider-Man: Far From Home - 8 Fan Demands That Must Happen

1. A Genuinely Brilliant Spider-Man Sequel

It's been 14 years since the last great Spider-Man sequel, and given how there've been two bad sequels since Spider-Man 2 premiered in 2004, should it perform well, Far From Home will finally buck a trend that's afflicted Spidey on the big screen for well over a decade.

Homecoming set the tone for the character's latest live action incarnation well enough, placing Peter Parker in the middle of a living, breathing Marvel Universe, but Far From Home will be the character's biggest onscreen test yet. Tom Holland's Spidey hasn't put a foot wrong since his introduction in 2016, and though neither he nor Jon Watts have given any cause for fans to be anxious about the Homecoming follow-up, when it comes to sequels, the web-slinger's record - unfortunately - speaks for itself.

In any case, for now, fans should expect the film to build upon the foundations laid in Homecoming, and to continue the story of Peter Parker's high school years. In this new, scary, post-Infinity War climate, anything could really happen. However, with a new wardrobe, allies and villains to explore, Far From Home is shaping up to be something special. Here's hoping it delivers next July.
