Since Sony are making their own Spider-Verse movies and have Venom coming with Tom Hardy, it's inevitable that they will take any opportunity to boost the profile of their shared universe by proximity with the MCU. According to some rumours, that will come in the shape of a cameo for Hardy opposite Tom Holland's Spider-Man in Far From Home.

Reaction:

It would be great to see the two Toms coming together in an MCU movie, but the REPEATED assertion that these movies aren't in the same universe would seem to suggest it's just not possible.
