Spider-Man: Far From Home - Everything We Know So Far
1. It's Going Overseas
Although the movie did take a trip to Washington D.C., a lot of Homecoming was rooted in Queens, or at least New York (with the end fight going out to Coney Island). He's your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man, after all.
This movie, however, is going to be taking him even further away from home. Although it'll undoubtedly still have its roots in Queens, this one is going to see Spider-Man going overseas (which he did in Civil War too). We don't know all of the locations, but we should definitely be seeing him in London, which should be a nice twist, and a few others in a global adventure, with Kevin Feige telling io9:
"We film in London. We shot first film in Atlanta. And we shoot a lot of films in London but there’s another reason we’re shooting in London which is, yes, Spidey, of course, will spend some time in New York, but he’ll spend some time in other parts of the globe.”
Elaborating further, Feige explained that this would be a "summer vacation. I think he’s going to Europe with his friends."
It'll be the first time a Spider-Man solo movie has taken the character outside of the United States, and the character visiting Europe isn't something that's happened much in the comics either, but that will hopefully just keep things feeling fresh given how many Spidey stories we've had on the big screen this century.
