Spider-Man: Far From Home - Nick Fury Impostor Theory EXPLAINED

1. The Offending Poster

Samuel L Jackson might well have pointed out that Sony's marketing team have spoiled the big Nick Fury twist in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

As reported by THR, a new set of posters for Spider-Man: Far From Home have appeared and - much to Samuel L Jackson's annoyance - it appears that Nick Fury's eye patch has magically switched eyes. He responded to the apparent mistakes with a poetic "The Actual F*CK IS GOING ON HERE???!!! #headsgonroll #lefteyemuthafukkah."

No-one swears like Sam.

Anyway, what if it wasn't a mistake?

As THR also astutely pointed out, there could be some "villainous explanation for Fury's eye patch switch" because in an episode of Spider-Man's "Day of the Chameleon" from the '90s, Fury was "impersonated by the Chameleon, and was found out because the eye patch was on the wrong eye."

Could the poster makers have given the game away?!

What do you think? Could this be possible? Share your reactions below in the comments thread.
