15. "I'm Just Gonna Be Myself..."

When Peter is encouraged to invite his apparent friend Spider-Man to Liz's party later, Peter tells Ned that he's not going to make a party trick out of his alter ego, and that "[he's] just gonna be [himself]", to which Ned hilariously and matter-of-factly responds, "Peter, nobody wants that."

It's an amusing subversion of the cloying truisms that clog up so many sentimental high school movies, shot through the absurd prism of a superhero tentpole no less.

It helps that Ned's delivery is absolute perfection, too, and sells just how eager people would be to see a superhero in real-life.
