3. Vulture Still Seems Pretty Generic

Both trailers continue to cement the line of thinking that Vulture is basically going to be another Yellowjacket: a simplistic baddie played by a fantastic actor who is thoroughly wasted in the process.

MCU has a well-known villain problem, and though it certainly doesn't look like Marvel has another Ronan or Malekith on their hands here, Vulture's motives seem rather uninspired, even if there is the vague hope Michael Keaton can elevate the material with a firecracker performance.

The international trailer reveals that Vulture has been pilfering his weaponry from past Avengers battles, which could be fun for a few nods back to prior movies, but at the same it's probably best to keep your expectations low for now.

The suit looks...fine, but if Vulture simply follows through with the usual tragic, sympathetic villain formula of previous Spider-Man villains, it's going to lead to a lot of eye-rolling.
