13. Michelle's Book

There are inevitably some shots of Peter Parker at school after his best friend Ned Leeds discovers that he is Spider-Man.

We get a few shots of the pair being science bros in classes and also sitting in what appears to be a PE lecture (more on that soon).

Behind them, Zandaya's Michelle is reading a copy of W Somerset Maugham's Of Human Bondage. Why is it of note? Well, it's a story about a young man whose parents die and who is sent to live with his aunt and uncle as he struggles to find his calling.

The original text that Maugham's book was named for also focuses on the danger of failing to control emotion, which looks to be a big part of Peter's arc.
