So, while Stan Lee and Steve Ditko did create Peter Parker, they didn't have a hand in any of the alternate Spider-Men present in Spider-Verse. The creators behind those characters are all acknowledged in the film in one way or another, but the co-creator of Miles Morales - Brian Michael Bendis - actually gets two nods.

When Miles is scrolling through his phone contacts he thumbs over his favourites where a "B. Bendis" can be found. This is a blatant reference to the writer, who only recently ended his exclusive gig at Marvel to work for DC earlier this year, but until then had contributed more than anyone this century to Spider-Man's comic book mythology.

It might not be a full cameo, but it was great to see Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli get acknowledged for creating Miles.
