1. It Shows A TAD Too Much

If there's one complaint about the trailer, and it's a relatively minor one compared to how good the movie looks, it's that it does show us a bit too much. This is a familiar issue with Sony's marketing, in particular of the Spider-Man character, and they haven't quite been able to help themselves here.

Showing the Spider-Verse coming together works well, but that arguably would've been enough. Instead, there's a little too much shown of the villains - and there are, again, quite a few of them - and a few plot hints that, while not fully venturing into overly spoiler-y territory, might've been better off being held back. This trailer is all about the 'more', and sometimes you're better off with a little bit less.

Still, the movie looks incredible, and like it could well be one of the best superhero movies (or just movies, general) of 2018 when it lands on December 14.
