One of the coolest details McKenna and Sommers revealed is the fact that Maguire and Garfield had a lot of input in deciding how their characters were used.

"They had thoughts, and it was really interesting and helpful to see their thoughts,” said Sommers. "It definitely shaped what we did."

According to McKenna, Maguire and Garfield's ideas even helped elevate the script, allowing all four creatives to devise an arc that wouldn't just be perfect for the previous Spider-Men, but for Holland's too:

"They had great ideas that really elevated everything we were going for and added layers and an arc and we really actually started honing into the idea that these two guys were really helping Tom’s Peter on his journey to becoming who he ends up becoming... so much of that was brought by Tobey/Andrew’s ideas and shaping of what they thought their characters could bring to this story."

During all the build-up, there was a worry that Maguire and Garfield's roles would be little more than meaningless cameos. Well, not only was that worry completely unfounded, but the two actors even had a say in making the third act as great as it is.

He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
