Spider-Man: No Way Home Review - 7 Ups & 3 Downs
6. The Glorious, Glorious Fan Service
If you thought Avengers: Endgame was a fiesta of fan-service, No Way Home makes an aggressive effort to one-up it as the multiverse spews all manner of legacy characters into the MCU.
Without going into specifics, fans are going to be very happy with what's been achieved here.
Not every character gets equal treatment by any means, but it's massively satisfying seeing Doc Ock (Alfred Molina) back again, while Electro (Jamie Foxx) is given a welcome glow-up after his mediocre treatment in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
The less said about the other appearances - some surprising, others not at all - the better, but it's difficult to imagine comic book fans not getting a huge kick out of what's on offer.
There's also a playful, meta quality to many of the character interactions, especially later in the film, that's sure to prove massively crowd-pleasing, and arguably even make the prior Spider-Man movies better in retrospect.
