Spider-Man: Ranking The Movie Suits From Worst To Best

6. The Amazing Spider-Man (Prototype Suit)

It's not surprising that for months it was assumed we would first see Tom Holland's Spider-Man decked out in an early makeshift version of the Spidey costume - both Maguire and Garfield have done the same thing. You might not remember this one, as Garfield sported this prototype Spidey outfit for an even shorter amount of time in The Amazing Spider-Man than Maguire did in his movie. Here, Peter's inspiration for the look is likewise wrestling-related - he gets the idea from a poster of a Mexican luchador mask. Even though it only turns up briefly in the film, this is a much cooler look than Maguire's Spidey pyjamas get-up. The black hat and jacket might make him look like a criminal but the shades are a nice addition - and foreshadow his actual suit's eyeholes (more on that later). As such, this is probably the most believable Spidey outfit. I don't know about you, but if I really wanted to go out and fight crime I probably wouldn't spend forever sewing a great costume and instead just throw on a mask.
