5. Uhura & Scotty Flirt - Star Trek V: The Final Frontier
Another entry for Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. There is nothing worse in an established franchise than taking what has been established and changing it for no reason, or for a reason that makes no sense and then forgetting about it. If you plan to establish something, then plan it through to the end. In The Final Frontier, Scotty and Uhura are suddenly flirting. Not just the occasional cheeky remark, but it is made clear that these two are having a ''thing.'' This is most obvious after Scotty bangs his head on a beam and ends up in sickbay (a moment that almost made it on to this list). Uhura goes to check on him and what follows is some tender loving and sensual face-stroking. None of it makes sense and it's weird to watch. We don't want to think about Mr. Scott getting an erection. Thankfully, all this bizarreness was dropped in time for Star Trek VI.
