An echo of the Spock/Kirk shot at the end of Into Darkness here, though it looks like Uhura is being forced to watch the grim fate of someone close to her. Is this her watching something terrible happen to Sulu? If it is, then we know it isn't fatal - assuming the shot of him on the new bridge comes after he and Uhura are rescued, of course. But that emotion certainly looks authentic. Let's just hope Uhura isn't going to be relegated to a reactionary character who passively watches things happen to other people.
