26. Who The Hell Is That?!

Though the trailer is edited to suggest that it's Kirk's pod that lands in this forest, it's actually not. It looks more likely that the Starfleet human who crashes is Chekov, but more interestingly is the brief shot of this unfamiliar alien member of the crew. Whoever it is joins another crew member into what looks like a crash site later in the trailer...

And then later still there's a clearer shot much later of the same figure apparently watching a ship launch without her.

Why would she be left on the surface? Will she be revealed to be duplicitous?
