It goes without saying that as long as Star Trek Into Darkness doesn't flop - it almost certainly won't - we're going to see a third film in the franchise. Though it remains up in the air whether J.J. Abrams will return given that Star Wars Episode VII will keep him busy for the next few years, it's interesting to think about where things will go from here.
