Star Wars: 10 Greatest Disturbances In The Force
7. Anakin Kills The Tusken Raiders
In Attack of the Clones, we see Anakin's darkest demons when the torment of his dreams lead him to his mother only to watch her die in his arms as a result of the Tusken raiders' barbaric treatment. After feeling her frail existence fade away, he completely loses it and takes out every single living member of the Tusken tribe, including women and children, which causes a terrible tremor in the Force and makes Yoda deeply concerned.
Considering Anakin's affect on the Force, his violent outburst no doubt creates a disturbance that begins shifting the balance in bad ways both for the universe and for him. As his fall towards the dark side progresses, the indiscriminate massacre of an entire community pushes the process forward due to the guilt, anger, and feeling of helplessness Anakin experiences from this traumatic event.
This disturbance is the defining moment where Anakin becomes obsessed with controlling everything, which leads to his lust for more power and ultimately results in his unravelling.
