Star Wars: 10 Things Darth Vader Must Bring To Rogue One

8. His Meditation Chamber

The Empire Strikes Back shows Vader in his personal meditation chamber aboard the Executor Star Destroyer. A dark, geometric enclosure, this is the only time we€™re shown a personal retreat for Vader. We know it is pressurized so that Vader can breathe with his mask off, and we know it has communication panels, but little else is shown about it: particularly why it's called a meditation chamber, when there doesn't appear to be any meditating going on. Seeing Vader in this meditation chamber (or something very similar) would be a perfect avenue to get inside his head. Can he use the chamber like the X-Men€™s Cerebro to amplify his use of the Force, perhaps projecting his thoughts across the galaxy? Does it help give his clairvoyance - the power Admiral Motti claims he lacks? Does he need to have it, or it just nice to have? All we would need is one more scene with Vader in the meditation chamber to help shed more light on its functionality. If used correctly, it could also serve as a plot point for how Vader tracks down the Rebels.
