Star Wars: 10 Things Darth Vader Must Bring To Rogue One
4. Force-Choking Imperials
Nothing says power like killing any underlings that defy you or punishing incompetent allies. In The Empire Strikes Back, Captain Needa takes the responsible course of action by apologizing for losing the Millennium Falcon. Vader wants results, not apologies, so he kills Needa. This attitude is part of the dark fabric woven into Vaders personality: any of his own men who can't step up are considered expendable. He only has the Emperor to report to, and even that alliance is shaky, considering the treachery associated with being a Sith. In Rogue One, any Imperial officer directly related to letting the Death Star plans get stolen will be the first to be Force choked. After that, anyone else who fails Vader would certainly feel the Force constricting their neck. Such an action sends a message to the others to stay on top of their game, and validates Vader's way of handling business. He even Force choked his own wife. That's how serious he is.
