Star Wars: 10 Things You Didn't Know About The Supremacy

4. The Supremacy Was Controlled Via A Central Overbridge

A unique warship like the Supremacy was always going to need a control hub like no other vessel. At the highest point of the ship, a huge tower looms over the city-like structures below, and it is from this overbridge that high-ranking members of the First Order command the ship and all its onboard personnel. What makes this bridge unique is that it offers those in charge a complete 360-degree view of both the ship itself and its surroundings, allowing a perfect vantage point to oversee movement within the Supremacy’s city like structure in addition to nearby vessels.

Much like the Imperial era Destroyer ships that came before it, the bridge of the Supremacy was designed to reflect the hierarchy of the First Order captains and officers working within the central hub. More senior personnel would walk around the upper level, able to observe those working below and to be constantly barking out more orders at their subordinate officers.

However, one negative to the bridge design of the Supremacy is one seen often in Star Wars spaceships, and that is the use of glass windows to surround the bridge. Even in space, windows will be a vulnerable part of the ship, with the height of the bridge also clearly indicating to enemy ships where to target their firepower.
