Early in his life as a Jedi, Mace Windu had some anger issues. Nothing got his blood boiling like a heretic, and he would come into contact with one of these conmen on a mission the planet Mathas.

On this mission, a young padawan Windu encountered a man named Drooz. Drooz had taken up residence in an abandoned Jedi temple. He had duped citizens of the planet into believing he was a Jedi. Drooz charged a small fortune to perform fake miracles.

Having such strong faith in both the Force and Jedi teachings, Mace found Drooz very offensive. When Windu finally confronted Drooz he had some choice words for the false profit.

"You would twist such a beautiful thing as faith into something so vile. Wring out what measly credits and adoration you could from these poor people—all while besmirching the esteem of the Jedi Order… I will make sure you never hurt another soul again. This I vow… As a true Jedi."
